Right To Information (RTI)

Person can request to Information commission to know about government activity as per Right to Information (RTI) 2005 act.  Information is provided by Public Information Officers (PIO).

As per Right To Information act, applicant cannot know all the information whatever he/she want. There are some exclusion in this. Exclusion is given in official site. Website address is given below.

Procedure to apply for RTI
As per Gujarat Information Commission, procedure to apply for RTI is as below.

(1) Application can be done using form 'K' or by writing on plain paper in local official language or English or Hindi.
(2) Applicant needs to specify particulars of information that what kind of information applicant wants.
(3) Information can be send by direct application by going to PIO office or by postal application.
(4) Pay fees. It may be prescribed.

There are different PIO as per different government departments. So information seeker needs to file RTI with respective department. List of department can be found from official site.

Time taken to get information.
(1) Information can be received in 30 days within application.
(2) If it is related to life of person and Independence then within 48 hour.
(3) If applicant cannot receive application within 30 days or information is partial, then applicant can contact PIO. If PIO is unable to reply then applicant can contact Gujarat Ayog.

What is the fee?
Application Fees
(1) It is mentioned in act that application fee must be reasonable. Application fee is Rs. 20.
(2) There is no fee for the people who are living below the poverty line.
(3) If additional fee is required, then it must be informed in writing with calculation details of fee figure to applicant.

Application fees can be paid by Cash, DD, Indian postal order, Pay order, Revenue stamp and by many other options.

Gujarati Calendar- Hindu Calendar


Calendar Introduction
There are different calendars in this world according to region and religion. Most commonly we are using Gregorian calendar today. This calendar has 12 months in a year like January, February up to December. Generally we called it as an English Calendar or English months calendar.

Gujarati Calendar:
Gujarati Calendar is a Hindu calendar or Indian Calendar which has 12 months in a year and it also depends on beginning of the moon. Due to this, sometime year goes for 13 months. Gujarati year is called Vikram Samwat or V.S. Vikram Samwat is the calendar which is established by King Vikram. This calendar is lunar calendar is based on the orbit of the Moon around the earth. Current year (this article posted year) is English year 2013 and Vikram Samwat (Gujarati year or Hindu year) is 2069-70.

Let's have a look for Gujarati Calendar month name. For better understanding, let's compare Gujarati calendar month with Gregorian calendar month. For most of the year both calendar month completes as per given comparison. Let's start from Hindu New year month that is the first day after Diwali. Below is the list of Gujarati month, its Gujarati pronunciation and month as per Gregorian calendar respectively in a raw.

(4) Mahaa-(મહા)-January-February
(5) Phagun-(ફાગણ)-February-March

Gujarati calendar days are based on Sun and Moon. Each month is divided in two parts generally 15-15 days. It is based on the lunar phase which is from new moon to full moon. One part of 15-day is known as Sud. Sud means moon is being formed. Another 15 days part is called Vad. Vad from full moon to new moon. These Sud and Vad together makes a month. Each day of this is having separate name as below.
First day is known as Ekam. If it in Sud then it is called as Sud Ekam. Same way if it is under Vad part, then it is called as Vad Ekam.

4-Choth
5-Pancham
6-Chhath
7-Satam
8-Aatham
9-Nom
10-Dasham
11-Ekadashi or Agiyarash
12-Barash

Vad has Same days as above. 14 days in Vad are called same as Sud but last day is called Amavasya instead of Poonam (Purnima) in Sud.

Diwali Festival

Festivals are the days to spread happiness, so we should enjoy all festivals. Festivals keeps us together. 

Diwali is the festival of light and it is a big festival for Hindus. Diwali is also known as a Deepavali. Deepavali is the combination of two words: Deep and and Avali. Deep means Diya and Avali means Raw. Raw of Diyas. Diya is the small kind of lamp in which Ghee is used for flame generation in lamp. In this festival people are used  to light Deep in their homes for Diwali days. Diwali days has Vacation in schools and colleges.

There are main five important days in Diwali. First day is Dhan Teras, Second Kali chaudas, Third is Diwali, forth one is New Year (Hindu new year as Vikram Samwat Hindu Calendar), fifth day is Bhai-Bij. People enjoys with fireworks in Diwali days.

We celebrate Diwali every year in the memory of Lord Rama. Lord Rama came to home Kingdom Ayodhya after 14 year of Vanvaas. Lord Rama killed Demon King Raavan. That was the victory of Truth. During this festival people used to eat sweets, buying new cloths and going to relatives home.

BJP won 2014-General Election to Lok Sabha

This is my first post in this blog. When I am writing this post, General Election 2014 to Lok Sabha has finished and result is also declared. This time Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won with very good seats and this is record break victory for BJP. Shree Narendra Modi will be PM for India.
